Film appreciation workshop
In an attempt to inculcate and cultivate better film appreciation and instil among discerning cinema lovers an eye for art and aesthetic cinema, a two-day Film Appreciation Workshop, is being conducted under the banner of Sine Maathu by a collective of cinema enthusiasts. The workshop, which will feature award-winning films, will also see eminent film-directors address the participants as also engage them in analytical discussions over the films screened.
In fact, Sine Maathu, has planned similar such programmes in the ensuing six months, by screening 8 to 10 films, the first of which is begining this Saturday and Sunday.
The workshop, will be inaugurated by noted film director Girish Kasaravalli., who will also participate along with his team in the interaction session soon after the screening of his latest award-winning Kannada film Nayi Neralu which will be screened on April 14 at 5 pm.
On day two, another young and versatile director P Sheshadri, will be present along with his team, his national award winning film, Beru, at 5pm. Subtitles in English would be provided to both the Kannada movies.
The outcome of the discussion is being recorded, viewed and studied later, for research purposes. Individual participation for both days of the workshop is Rs 100.
